While there has been (so far!) no performance announcement for this fall, I am nevertheless keeping myself busy. Here are a few noteworthy highlights:
- I am currently working on the next Dr. Faustus project, with my partner in crime, fellow composer Inés Thiebaut. We are putting together a program of brand new song cycles, commissioned by Dr Faustus from three young composers: Dan Colson, Osnat Netzer, and Ramin Heydarbeygi (full disclosure: I am also contributing a piece to this concert). Stay tuned for more details!
- I am also working on a paper Henri Pousseur's opera Votre Faust, to be included in a forthcoming book on Faustian music. More about that later...
- Finally, I am putting together a doctoral thesis proposal (it sounds serious: it is!) on a top secret topic, also having to do with Belgian composer Henri Pousseur.
