My new piece, "Wholly Simple Variations" for flute, oboe, guitar, violin, and cello, was premiered on Thursday, June 7 2010 at Elabash Hall (@ CUNY Graduate Center, NY), performed by the Cygnus ensemble. The recording is available here
"This piece is a set of eight short variations, based, not so much on a theme, but rather on a common underlying harmonic premise. In another sense, the "theme" of these variations is also the Cygnus ensemble, and the wonderful variety of colors offered by its unique instrumental combination."
